zeebox is a new company, with the aim of making TV better by bringing the power of the web to every second of live TV – and making it a more immersive and social experience than ever before. It’s an ambitious undertaking, backed by a talented and driven team based in London, England.
Our management team have a wealth of experience – and boundless enthusiasm. They are:
Elio Leoni-Sceti
ChairmanElio's passion for growth and innovation brought him to zeebox from its inception, as early investor and then Chairman. Elio's VC portfolio of 10+ companies (in media, technology and social media) was built after a 20+ year career in FMCG (P&G, Reckitt Benckieser) and media, where he recently served as CEO of EMI Music.
Ernesto Schmitt
Co-founder and CEO
Serial entrepreneur and media executive, he was most recently President and board member at EMI. Previously he has been co-founder and CEO of silverscreen and peoplesound.
Anthony Rose
Co-founder and CTO
Leading cross-media and connected TV technologist, Anthony was responsible for designing and delivering the BBC iPlayer. Most recently CTO of YouView and previously CTO of KaZaA.
Max Bleyleben
CFO and Head of Business Development
Max has 14 years’ experience as an investor in, and advisor to, high–growth technology companies, most recently as MD with private equity firm Kennet Partners. Before completing his MBA in 1997, Max worked in television and print media in emerging markets around the world.
Simon Miller
Chief of Product & Content Development
Innovator of digital things and filmmaker, Simon's most recent role before zeebox was as SVP Innovation at EMI. Before that he co-founded Swopex and was Managing Director at peoplesound.com and protein.
Alex Nunes
Engineering Director
Leader in the field of connected TV and on-demand platform development, Alex has previously worked as lead technical architect for the BBC iPlayer and YouView platforms.
Jason Forbes
EVP & GM, Zeebox USA
Media veteran with an obsession for all things cross platform, Jason led the strategy, new products and marketing teams at Time Warner Cable Media and before then headed the US Media consulting practice at Capgemini in engagements across the US and Europe.
Craig Blair
CEO, Zeebox Australia
Serial entrepreneur and investor has spent the past 14 years building and investing in some of the leading digital media and technology businesses in Australia. Most recently as Executive Director of netus, a News Ltd-backed technology investment company where he led the launch of Allure Media, WayFair, The Video Company and Tantalus Media
